Reporting directly to the Renishaw Group QA Manager – Metrology, the successful applicant will join a small team tasked with assuring the continuous development of Group Quality Management Systems (GQMS), and quality of the Group’s products and services.
The role is primarily focussed on ensuring best practice is shared across the Group’s product divisions, subsidiaries and partner companies. This will be achieved by working closely with a wide range of staff in product and service divisions, in detail, to understand their quality related objectives and targets. Whilst a Group function, there will be occasions when the role will give the opportunity to get “hands on” to develop a better understanding of project technical needs and requirements.
•Support the Renishaw Group QA Manager in all aspects of their responsibilities for Group Quality.
•Undertake the necessary audits, or other suitable reviews of the Group QMS, key business processes and project technical needs related to quality (ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and TickITplus).
•Undertake comprehensive root cause analysis to determine corrective and preventative actions to improve the GQMS.
•Support the provision of specific quality documents, such as FMEAs, control plans as required.
•Build sustainable relationships across all divisions through clear communication and reporting on tasks and initiatives.
•Report on tasks through contribution to Board reports, SOFT reports and audit reports etc.
•Significant experience in a QA role, with training in, and evidence of conducting audits.
•Good knowledge of design and/or manufacturing processes.
•Good knowledge of verification and validation processes.
•Good knowledge of quality tools for process improvement, planning and problem solving.
•A high level of computer literacy, in particular Microsoft Office.
•Clear verbal and written communication skills.
•A full UK driving licence.
•A full, valid passport ensuring unrestricted travel to and from the UK.
•An Engineering degree or similar qualification in QA.
•Working knowledge, training and experience of any automotive, aerospace or medical QMS.
•Experience of direct involvement with customers on quality related issues.

Inquisitive and questioning, the individual in this role will be discreet and diplomatic. Good attention to detail and clear verbal and written communication skills are essential.
