Machine Tool Products Division


Working within Renishaw’s Machine Tool Division, the key purpose of this role is to review the sales and commercial needs of our global subsidiaries in order to help ensure financial targets are met. As the successful applicant you will assist both subsidiaries and the Machine Tool Division in all aspects of their commercial activities, often being a key link between the two. You will work in collaboration with the Machine Tool Commercial Manager, to produce a monthly unit forecast for the Division, based on subsidiaries’ needs.


  • Hold regular reviews with Renishaw global subsidiaries and capture/action any ongoing requirements related to their commercial and business plan activities
  • Liaise with Renishaw manufacturing services, Product Management and Subsidiaries and assist in the generation of a monthly unit forecast for Machine Tool Division
  • Champion the ongoing training requirements of subsidiary personnel for Machine Tool products and software
  • Analysis of financial and market data in relation to Machine Tool Division’s commercial activities
  • Assist with the ongoing management of Machine Tool Division price lists, discount structures and some key customer commercial deals.


Key requirement

  • Higher education qualification, ideally to degree level
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A current valid passport
  • A full driving licence, valid for driving in the UK


Desirable requirements

  • Experience working in a business to business (B2B) commercial environment
  • Engineering background would be highly desirable
  • A degree in a business or commercial discipline is desirable, but not essential

Person specification

The needs and challenges of this role are wide and varied, requiring interaction with many people across many areas of the business. As such, this requires a self-motivated, well organised person with good interpersonal skills and an attention to detail.
