Renishaw Applications Engineers are some of the most experienced engineers in the company, trained to a very high standard in multiple disciplines in order to provide customer orientated solutions. You will undergo a two year training programme either in-house or on customer sites to gain experience of real world, customer related problems.

Following your training period, you will be a highly skilled and knowledgeable member of the Renishaw Applications team who can be called upon to provide support either pre or post sales throughout the Renishaw group. You will become a self-sufficient, confident engineer able to present Renishaw solutions to all levels of management.

Working in Applications can often involve travel, either national or international, depending on the product line.

Core knowledge

Applications Engineers will gain:

  • Excellent grasp of engineering principles
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and modern manufacturing techniques
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and principles
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Understand the intended use of the products that you are working on

Promotion within the Applications stream can lead to positions such as Senior or Principle Applications Engineer, or to a managerial position such as Applications Manager or Operations Manager.
