A role supporting the implementation of a PC based probing software product onto CNC machines.
Full training will be provided and it is anticipated that the candidate will spend a number of months embedded within the software group gathering knowledge and experience.
Following this, the role will be based in Machine Tool Division where the candidate will work with various parties to ensure a smooth product launch and provide on-going application support.
•Cooperation with various parties and the Machine Tool division
•Create and conduct in house on-machine development tests
•Assist in the creation of training plans and material
•Conducting Beta site training and testing at customers
•Conducting product launch training at subsidiaries
•Post launch product support
•Proven practical expertise in the use of CNC machines (either Fanuc/Meldas/Haas, Siemens or Heidenhain controllers)
•Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
•Familiarity with CNC macro software
•Confidence with CAD and CAM system usage, particularly Siemens NX
•Familiarity with Quality Procedures and use of QC room equipment
•Experience of writing technical documents, good command of written English
•Familiarity with computer programming techniques
•Good personal skills for interaction with other divisions, subsidiary staff and customers
•Able to work alone and as part of team
•Hands-on can do attitude
•Logical problem solving skills
•Must be able to work under the pressure that is possible when software problems arise at customer sites
