Overview

Renishaw is now seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel to be based at Renishaw plc Gloucestershire on a fixed term contract basis for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Responsibilities

As part of a 10 strong legal team you will support the Renishaw Group in its compliance with relevant laws in the business areas in which it operates. You will report to the Head of Commercial Legal based in the UK. You will have direct contact across all parts of the business, including the directors and senior managers, on corporate compliance and commercial contracts. You should be prepared to give practical advice to senior management, and you could be involved in shaping business strategies and implementing corporate policies.

 

Key requirements

 

• The ideal candidate should have a solid grounding in commercial and corporate law in the UK
• Individuals with in house experience at corporations with global businesses will be particularly well suited for this role
• 6-8 pqe of commercial transactions experience, good commercial awareness and commercially driven
• Confidence and competence in working in a multicultural environment and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels in the organization, including Board members
• Excellent drafting skills with sharp attention to detail
• Solid IP knowledge and experience
• Must be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Complete fluency in English (oral and written); secondary language skills would be welcomed
• A high level of competency with Microsoft Office Suite
