Renishaw is seek to recruit two Trainee Support Technicians to join the Business Systems department. The roles will primarily involve the support of Windows 10 and 7 installed PC’s and the applications installed on them. Renishaw uses a variety of PC applications including MS Office, Visio, Project and server applications including SharePoint and SCCM. The successful applicant will assist with the day to day system administration on a variety of different desktop systems.
Progression to Support Technician will be possible for the right candidate at some point in the future depending on individual performance, and similarly longer term there may be the opportunity to progress to Senior Support Technician. Over time, depending on individual performance, the candidate may be offered the chance to work in one of the other technical teams supporting and developing the IT infrastructure. Opportunities for further training and courses exist depending on individual and project need.
The successful candidate will have an enthusiastic approach to work and learning new skills. They will hold excellent communication skills both verbally and written and will be able to communicate clearly with all employees. They will require good problem-solving skills with the ability to think problems through in a logical manner.
