  • Overview

    Renishaw plc, a world leader in dimensional metrology, is looking to recruit a Software Engineer for the Laser and Calibration Products Division (LCPD).

    The Software department is responsible for developing saleable applications that are used to evaluate, calibrate and otherwise enhance motion system performance.  It also supports production through the creation of test rigs and supports hardware design through the use of prototyping. Our products are sold worldwide and there are opportunities to work closely with our global partners.


    •Work as part of a scrum team composed of dedicated and experienced software engineers
    •Help to develop and support commercial applications
    •Support other design disciplines and production in the creation of exciting new products
    •Contribute to the full range of software engineering activities from requirements capture through to maintenance


    Key Requirements


    All applicants are required to have the following:
    •A numerate degree with a grade of 2:1 or better   applicants with degrees in Physics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering are of particular interest
    •A good understanding of  C# and the .Net framework


    Although not essential it would be desirable if applicants have some experience of the following:
    •Agile development (specifically working as a member of a Scrum team)
    •Firmware development
    •A mathematical background
    •Knowledge of the following:


    In all circumstances, any lack of experience may be compensated by a keen desire to learn new technologies and to make a valued contribution to a successful multidisciplinary team.


    The successful applicant will be an innovator and highly motivated. They will be keen to keep their skill set up to date and be a good communicator. Their approach is both logical and accurate. The individual must also be capable of working with and actively contributing to an established Scrum team.
