  • Overview

    Renishaw currently has a vacancy for a Service Centre’s Facilitator to help support the development and expansion of a global service and support. The role operates within a corporate sales development team, located in Wotton-Under-Edge and reports into the Service Development Manager. 

     

    The role will be the focal point of communication and guidance between the Divisions and global service/test centres and where commercially identified, they will be leading the adoption of setting up a new service facility.

     

    This will include the responsibility of being involved with and supporting the launch of OEM focussed products into the subsidiaries with regards to documentation, tooling, test equipment and training.

     

    Dealing with day-2-day enquiries affecting the support of these OEM products through their product life-cycle and where identified, designing and implementing system and process improvements.

     

    Overseas travel will be expected

    Responsibilities

    • Cultivate a consistent best practice and compliance for repairs, exchanges and calibrations within company procedures, for all existing and new product lines targeted to the OEM markets.
    • Orchestrate the activities of internal departments, product divisions and subsidiaries to achieve programme deliverables and objectives
    • To ensure at introduction of new OEM products, the repair, test and service requirements are considered by Divisions Design and Engineering groups.
    • Organise additional, faulty replacement or modifications to service centres tooling/test equipment where applicable
    • Ensure any referenced documentation is to the latest revision
    • Notification of product obsolescence is controlled in an effective manner
    • When advised, set-up new Service or Test Centre with Divisions assistance
    • Audit subsidiary service centres that are OEM product focussed

    Key requirements

    • A degree (preferable) or HNC/HND with relevant experience considered in a technical discipline, working in an Engineering or manufacturing industry.
    • Competent in developing processes to assist in business development activities.
    • Proven project management experience
    • An ability to scope projects working consultatively with Renishaw subsidiary and product division management teams and coordinate initiatives from concept to completion.
    • Proven experience of dealing with the unknown, making decisions with limited available information, and being able to adapt in the light of new information
    • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills across multiple cultural boundaries.
    • Experience/willingness with international travel

    • Experience of assessing and mitigating project risk (people, resource, timescale and commercial in this context)
    • Experience working across many different cultures and manufacturing sectors
    • Must have an attention to detail when planning project development actions
    • Be a team player, but also have the ability and drive to work with minimal instruction
    • Motivational and able to inspire others in best practices
    • Previous understanding of an audit process to ensure compliance with company standards and government legislation
    • Previous experience with either the process of launching products into subsidiaries OR working within a service or repair environment
