  • Overview

    Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Production Engineering Technician to join the Manufacturing Services Division. This role provides technician support in the application of process engineering disciplines within a high variety, high complexity, and challenging precision mechanical assembly environment.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Product and process first-line callout support
    • The investigation of process problems and root-cause analysis, with the implementation of robust corrective action within challenging deadlines
    • Preventative maintenance schedule ownership and completion
    • Process documentation validation and updates
    • Route control validation and updates
    • Process performance reporting (FTPR/yields, Cost of Quality)
    • Rig/tooling build/development to aid process efficiency and control
    • General team and cell support
    • Continuous improvement activities within the supported areas using fact based metrics

    Key requirements

    • HNC or NVQ4 level qualification in comparable subject/disciplines (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Principles etc.)
    • Technician or apprenticeship level exposure to investigations, problem solving and documentation

    • Familiar with Microsoft Office software

    Desirable requirements

    • An understanding of metrology and inspection principles
