  • Overview

    Renishaw is seeking to recruit a Plant Maintenance Technician within the Manufacturing Services Division. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the role requires the successful candidate to work as part of a double day shift operation, which is likely to lead to a 3 shift operation, with the responsibility for the scheduled preventative maintenance of Renishaw production plant and equipment working predominately on CNC machinery.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Carrying out preventative scheduled maintenance and electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault diagnostic processes on the following types of machinery and equipment and implementing the appropriate remedial/corrective actions:
      • Automated & manual metal cutting machine tools including milling & turning
      • Automated raw material saw’s
      • Process finishing equipment to include automated deburring equipment, cleaning machines and polishing machines
      • Compressed air generation equipment
      • LEV and extraction systems
      • Swarf and coolant management systems
    • Demonstrating good electrically/mechanically biased machine tool knowledge and diagnostic skills
    • Delivering quality workmanship in terms of time, accuracy and job feedback
    • Accurately assessing and communicating fault diagnostic issues and corrective actions to the supervision team

    Key requirements

    • Proven experience within a mechanical engineering discipline. Preferably within a machine tool environment although not essential.

    Desirable requirements

    • Current Fork lift license
    • Basic PC literacy and familiar with current Microsoft Office packages
