  • Overview

    We are looking for a talented mechanical engineer to join our Additive Manufacturing Beam-Delivery Systems design team.  AM is set to transform metal component design and manufacture and is an exciting and fast-paced area of Renishaw’s business.


    Under the supervision of an experienced Senior Engineer, you will work directly on the details of our current and future products.  The result will be a challenging, fascinating and hands‑on role, in which you will be expected to deliver high-quality design work proven out by robust testing.

    • Detailed and high-quality models and drawings on CAD
    • Hands-on validation and verification of designs through testing in the lab
    • Documentation of designs and test plans
    • Troubleshooting and supporting the improvement of manufacturing processes

    Key requirements

    • Hands-on experience with a range of component and assembly manufacturing processes
    • Competency at reading and creating engineering drawings
    • Good knowledge of 3D CAD

     Desirable requirements


    • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or other similar discipline
    • An understanding of system design
    • Experience with laser systems
    • At least 2 years’ experience in mechanical engineering design
