  • Overview

    Renishaw’s Additive Manufacturing Products Division (AMPD) is seeking to recruit a development technician to join the design group in Stone, Staffordshire. The role will involve varied work, including prototype assembly, test equipment design, data analysis and report generation.

     

    The Renishaw involvement in this exciting field will have a significant impact on the acceptance of Additive Manufacturing and as such the role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of this manufacturing revolution.

    • Working as part of the project team on product development
    • Design and development of bespoke test equipment and electro‑mechanical solutions
    • Generation of supporting documentation for assembly and testing
    • Build and assembly of development products
    • Management of development facilities in line with site Health and Safety procedures

     

    Key requirements

    • HNC minimum in a mechanical or electrical/electronic discipline
    • Experience of design and manufacture of bespoke test equipment
    • Familiarity with current manufacturing techniques and technologies
    • The ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
    • Ability to use MS Office applications

    The successful applicants will be experienced technicians, who are organised and have a good eye for detail. Taking a thorough approach, the applicants in this role will take pride in and be uncompromising about the quality of their work. The ability to be flexible, welcome new challenges and responsibilities and, when required, perform under pressure, will form part of this role.
