    Renishaw’s Machine Tool Products division is a leader in inspection probe technology and metrology systems. A job opportunity has arisen for a Process Development Engineer to join our global HQ.


    This position will be accountable for meeting new product integration process needs. Delivering product testing and support services to our internal customers. Communicating across all levels of professionalism.

    Role: 

     

    Being involved with Renishaw’s new process/production concepts will provide a unique experience. You will lead projects within a team of technicians, engineers and varying placement students to create and develop new product assembly processes and test systems within challenging timescales.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Development of new assembly test systems, leading projects from requirement to completion
    • Design of subsidiary test solutions and service tooling packages, directly liaising with subsidiaries to define requirements
    • Produce innovative software control packages for new test rigs via LabVIEW and NI hardware
    • Rapid manufacturing of new test rig prototypes and designs, including manual and CNC machining
    • Electro mechanical assembly and development of new fixtures and modification of existing rigs
    • Running experiments and prove-out on new rigs and boxes, including Minitab analysis where appropriate
    • Guidance and support of other members of the team whilst they work towards their own targets and project completions

     

    Key requirements:

     

    • You will hold a degree or HND in an engineering-based subject and possess demonstrable applied experience
    • The ability to communicate clearly and directly with a variety of different people worldwide and manage projects effectively from conception to completion

     

    Desirable requirements:

     

    • You will hold a degree or HND in an engineering-based subject and possess demonstrable applied experience
    • A working knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW coding platform
    • The ability to communicate clearly and directly with a variety of different people worldwide and manage projects effectively from conception to completion
