  • Overview

    Renishaw’s Manufacturing Services Division (MSD) is seeking to recruit a Software Design Engineer to join the Assembly Systems Group. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for the design and delivery of robust and capable software applications for new assembly process and new product development activities and projects. Note that new or recent engineering, physics, and maths graduate applications will be considered.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Designing, developing and introducing the software content of new and existing processes for the assembly and testing of new and current products
    • Liaising with the production engineering and product design teams to capture and interpret requirements
    • Working closely with the group’s hardware engineers to deliver solutions for new rig and equipment projects
    • Assisting with code reviews and technical mentoring of placements within the group
    • Providing remote support and upgrades of software released to overseas manufacturing sites and subsidiaries

    Key Requirements

    • Educated to at least degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, (2:2 or above)
    • Practical experience in data analysis and root cause investigations
    • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
