  • Overview


    Renishaw is currently seeking to recruit a Product Marketing Engineer with the primary objective of maintaining and developing growth in the sale of new and existing CMM products.  In this role, the individual will participate in the activities of a team responsible for product management and marketing communications for the existing and future CMM product lines.



    • Ownership of all pricing documents for CPD
      • Maintenance of the new products price list spreadsheet and central prices data
      • Interaction with Central Prices and published lists in other currencies
    • Project and Marketing co-ordinator for Specials and custom products
      • Tracking and progress of customer orders and fulfilment
      • Evaluating manufacturing costs and setting list pricing
      • Regular commercial reporting on specials profitability
      • Communication with subsidiaries and users when considering new products or quotations
      • Creation and maintenance of a product portfolio of ‘specials’ for simple reference when new requests are made
    • Product management of a range of CMM products
    • Manager for the CPD presence on the Group webshop
    • Co-ordinator for OEM contracts and agreements
    • Support the production of detailed sales arguments which are key to the continued growth of the product range

    Key requirements

    • A relevant degree at 2:1 or above, or equivalent
    • A full UK driving license
    • A full and valid passport
    • An understanding of manufacturing principles, mechanical drawings and the application of CPD’s products

    Desirable requirements

    • An appreciation of the global CMM market
    • A good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience in some aspects of product management
    • 2nd / 3rd language skills
    • An understanding of Renishaw’s IT systems used in the process of product development, order fulfilment and reporting
    • Knowledge of metrology principles, particularly when applied to the use of a CMM
    • Basic understanding of legal agreements and licence applications
    • Experience of writing technical copy for commercial material

    The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and time-management skills, with an organised approach to work and good attention to detail. Sound judgement skills are a necessity and the individual in this role will be confident in communicating with all levels of management.
