  • Overview

    The CMM products Division require a Project Engineer to support the development of new CMM products.


    The role requires close liaison with Technical Leaders and Product Marketing Managers to collectively drive projects forward and ensure successful project delivery.  The role will include the opportunity to obtain formal project management qualifications.



    • Drive new product developments following the recognized NPD process.
    • Project management of multi-discipline teams.
    • Development of new products to the required specification, costs and timescales.
    • Communication within the Division and other areas of the Business (eg MSD, GE etc).
    • Develop and maintain the required project development plans.
    • Ensure all aspects of the product are documented as required.
    • Prepare all the required information in order to deliver the required Gate reviews.
    • Co-ordinate product changes and ensure they are validated appropriately.
    • Maintain project information on the project accounting system.
    • Pro-active management of project risk registers.
    • Monitoring and controlling relevant CCARs and Concessions.
    • Transfer new products into production, ensuring requirements are satisfied.
    • Help to improve the NPDi process and general project management practices.

    Key requirements

    • A relevant degree or equivalent.
    • Basic project management experience.

    Desirable requirements

    • Experience / background in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
    • Knowledge of MS Project, Syteline, Teamcentre and internal company processes would be an advantage.

    The successful applicant will be highly motivated, have excellent attention to detail and an ability to operate on their own initiative. They must have good organisation and interpersonal skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and be confident to deal with people at all levels.  Strong communication and influencing skills

    are key to this role.
