    Due to the success of our Engineering work experience programme in previous years we are again offering a fantastic opportunity for one week’s work experience for students in years 10 - 13 who attend local schools across the region.  Preference is given to those students who are interested in Engineering and can show that they enjoy subjects like Maths, Science, Art and Design & Technology.
    Dates:     Monday 6th July – Friday 10th July 2020
                     Monday 13th July – Friday 17th July 2020

    Hours:     Monday – Thursday: 8.30am - 4.30pm

                     Friday:  8.30am  –  12.30pm 


    Parents/guardians invited from 12.00 – 12.30 to see the completed projects and meet the Renishaw staff.     


    Location:   New Mills, Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire GL12 8JR


    The Format

    The Renishaw Engineering work experience week is not like traditional shadowing, our format offers students an experience that covers all aspects of Engineering.


    Students will be given an Engineering project brief at the start of the week and as a team they research and develop a new product.  At the end of the week, the team will present their concept model and business plan to senior management. Each team will comprise of a student performing one of the roles below:


    • Project Manager
    • Technical Lead
    • Product Marketing Engineer
    • Production Engineer
    • Product Designer 
    • Purchasing and Material Control
