Group Engineering are recruiting a Senior Electronic Design Engineer (Analogue) to support current and future product development of a variety of Renishaw products including probes, sensors and controllers, plus laser products and advanced process feedback. Initially the role will be to review the current designs and support ongoing development, working with the current Group Engineering hardware team and where appropriate, the divisional team to support development and derivative products. There will also be a need to interact with other engineers, graduates and apprentices within the group and other divisions.   As a senior engineer specialising in analogue design there will be an opportunity to further develop the design processes, simulation and training courses for delivery across other divisions, including reviewing design tools and methodologies. The use of EDA tools and knowledge of an electronic design process is an essential requirement as is an understanding of the current CE legislation and directives for compliance. Therefore, a background of successfully designed products and knowledge of current electronic devices and techniques is essential.   Within Group Engineering (GE) there will be opportunities to be involved in research and development projects which may include tool and device evaluation, for both GE and other divisions. Opportunities exist for an individual to excel at supporting the analogue design methods and processes, providing support where appropriate across the business.

The new solutions centre will be the flagship of a global network of facilities, whose role is to accelerate customers’ deployment of this emerging technology. The solutions centre will support customers in the UK, as well as in other regions that lack sufficient means to support customers locally.   Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) is an emerging technology that builds parts in layers using a high powered laser to fuse fine metallic powder to form the finished object and is set to transform the way components and assemblies are made in fields as diverse as orthopaedic implants and component manufacture in aerospace. The Renishaw involvement in this exciting field will have a significant impact on the acceptance of Additive Manufacturing and as such the role presents an excellent opportunity to be part of this exciting manufacturing revolution.

Position Summary:    Renishaw Healthcare Inc. is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and passionate Neurological Products Applications Support Engineer to be based at our Illinois office. The role will involve working with Renishaw’s established Neurological Products line, within a wide range of medical applications across North America.   The focus of the role is to provide engineering technical support both in-surgery, on-site and remotely, for various sites across the US and Canada. The candidate will undertake extensive training and supervision on the neuro|mate system and surgical planning software. The training will require the applicant to travel to our UK headquarters and French subsidiary, before returning to North America to work out of the US head office.     After training and orientation in the US, the candidate will operate unsupervised at medical centers, assisting neurosurgeons in using the neuro|mate and neuro|inspire as well as other Renishaw Neuro products for neurosurgical indications.

This role will cover installation, training, servicing and maintenance of Renishaw’s new and existing neurological products, specifically in the area of surgical robotics and software in the UK and Ireland. On completion of training, the successful candidate will work unsupervised at medical centres, providing support and troubleshooting advice to neurosurgeons using the robot and other Renishaw products for neurosurgical indications.
